Puppy home alone
We should start training on staying alone at home when we are a puppy, more or less from 5 months of age. However, at first, the puppy should not be left behind for long. Too early separation may cause irreversible separation anxiety, i.e. the inability to remain unaccompanied.
Learning to stay at home, it is worth starting by leaving your toddler in a room he already knows. You can leave your dog alone in the room for a few minutes and repeat this training several times a day. Thanks to this, the puppy will get used to the fact that although he does not always have a guardian next to him, he always comes back. Try not to spend every free moment with your pet, including sleeping in your arms. This will only teach him that you are inseparable and will increase his stress in your absence.
Remember that your puppy should not stay home alone for more than 3-4 hours. It is associated with the frequent need to deal with physiological needs, but also with an increased need for contact with humans during the day.
